The Search for Our Snuggles Could Lead to Our Hugs

This is log 2042.4.28.3.51 of the Mining Ship Natal. 3rd Officer Karen Kishmabelleh reporting. We encountered the Exploration Ship Progeny at 2042.4.25.11.28. The crew of the Progeny was quite happy to show us a new creature they called a Hughugger. It appears soft, light tan, and vaguely d'awwspider-like in appearance. Quite the romantic little creature. It gave crewmate Elisha Sohftgutt some flowers and chocolates and... well long story short, we soon "discovered" another little creature called a Bellybirther, born the same as a preggy or maieu would be. The adorable little thing soon grew into a large, black, glossy being. We decided to name it a Snugglemorph, owing to the creature's cuddly nature and friendly demeanor. We are bringing back our new friends for scientific snuggles.
